Dust Compaction - PreZero

Compacting Dust From Demolition Waste Significantly

PreZero is an international waste handling company with subsidiaries in many European countries.

In Groningen, The Netherlands, PreZero receives demolition waste from buildings. Treating this waste creates significant volumes of dust.

Until the RUNI-installation dust was extracted through a ventilation system and went through filters into an open container. This process created dust and was a problem for neighbors and employes.

With Paul Kok, Trusteel in Emmen as contact, RUNI supplied two SK240s for compacting and binding the dust. The compactors were placed under a rotating gate under the filter system. All in all up to 7-8 m³/day is compacted.

John Schuitema, Process- and Maintenance Engineer at PreZero:
The collaboration with RUNI went well. The search for a solution for our problem and the final solution works. We have no dust issues anymore”.
