Dewatering foodwaste to biogas plant

Continuous and efficient dewatering with the strong and reliable RUNI SK370 screw compactor of 2 tonnes per hour with consumption of only 15 kW.

A bigger part of household waste is used as organic "energy soup" (bio-pulp) for degassing at biogas plants.

To be able to refine the organic part of the household waste it is send through a system where large amounts of water is added to separate the organic material from the plastic etc. This plastic reject and other non-organic material is after the process a waste product with high water content. The wet reject is very costly to transport and dispose of or send to incineration. The installation of RUNI SK370 in the line reduces the water content significantly and the weight of the waste is reduced with more than 50%. Further at few extra percent of the organic material is collected from the waste.

Producers of biopulp from foodwaste can optimize their plants significantly with this solution, as they can reuse the dewatered water in their system and save money on transport and disposal of the left waste.
