XPS Compacting - Extruded polystyrene

Extruded Polystyrene is widely used as insulation material in the construction industry. XPS has a closed, uniform cell structure which is stronger than EPS and has a smoother surface.
For the same reason, XPS is also harder to compress, but the RUNI SK370 is up to the task. On the basis of the structure of the material and density, XPS cannot be compacted as much as EPS in terms of volume, but it is possible to achieve a compacting ratio of 10:1 which gives a volume weight of about 330 kg/m3 (20 lbs/ft3).
Like EPS, XPS can be sold for recycling.
